Maha was the first ever recipient of a SALEAF bursary back in 1972.  She is the CEO of MD Selection CC, a niche executive search and selection consultancy which has been in operation for 11 years.

 

Previously she practised as an attorney with Werksmans and later joined The Premier Group Limited where she remained for 15 years. During this time she held the positions of Legal Advisor, Group Commercial Executive, CEO of PDC Limited and finally Group General Manager of UPD then Premier’s pharmaceutical distribution arm.

 

 

In addition to chairing SALEAF, Maha is responsible for all matters legal concerning the organisation.

Mark is the Head of Change at Absa Financial Services

 

Previously the COO of Izazi Solutions, a provider of technology-enabled business solutions to the banking sector.

Prior to Izazi, with Rubico, a Consulting and Software Development Firm, he was initially Director of Professional Services and subsequently Director of Product Development. He was involved in the management of legal, financial and other operational aspects of the business.

Jerome is the Managing Director of Acacia Finance, a position he has held for 22 years. Acacia Finance’s primary business is the provision of short term funding for small to medium enterprises. Acacia is a registered with the National Credit Regulator, Financial Services Board and Medical Schemes Council and provides financial planning and intermediary service to clients. Acacia has been involved in several residential and commercial property developments. As the managing director, Jerome is actively involved in all aspects Acacia’s business operations.

Jerome Kourie

Alex is a registered Industrial Psychologist with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa. He has obtained extensive experience as a Human Resources Consultant over the past 15 years and specialises in the areas of Competency Based Assessment and Development, Assessment Design, Leadership and Management Development, Succession Planning, Performance Management and Coaching.

 

Over the last 15 years he has consulted to Blue chip South-African and International Organisations, both locally and abroad and is currently the Managing Director of his own successful practice; ADD Consulting - Assessment Design Development.

Save for a two year interruption, where he served as Managing Director of Spanjaard LTD, an oil lubricants manufacturer for the motor industry, Clive has been with Metcash for 18 years, 11 as Marketing and Retail Development Director.

Metcash is the largest FMCG wholesale distributor in Africa with stores throughout the continent, servicing the independent retail grocery stores

Charl Bassil is the Group Marketing Innovation Manager at SAB Ltd.  He has 12 years experience working across the Consumer Goods industry and within Management Consulting.

 

Initially Charl worked within the Product Supply division at Procter & Gamble.  A move into the services industry saw him working as a Management Consultant for Bain & Company, an international business strategy consultancy and private equity advisory, in their Johannesburg and London offices for almost three years.  Since the beginning of 2002, Charl has been working at SABMiller, having performed a number of roles during that time, including that of New Market Development Manager and Executive Brand Manager.

Gina is currently a management consultant in Accenture South Africa, where she has diverse experience in strategy formulation, system integration, project management, research, change management and business intelligence.

Prior to this role she  worked as a physiotherapist in private practise for two years.
