Legal Status
SALEAF was registered on 26 September 2006 as a company not having a share capital in terms of Section 21 of the Companies Act 61 of 1973. Registration number: 2006/028277/08
As such, SALEAF is required to be audited annually and its activities are open to public scrutiny.
Application for exemption from tax liability in respect of SALEAF and in respect of deductibility of donations by donor companies and individuals is currently underway. The company is also being registered as a Public Benefit Organisation.
Founding Members The founding members of SALEAF are:

In addition to committing to serve SALEAF in furtherance of its objective, the founding members have pledged to donate sufficient funds to enable SALEAF to fund at least one qualifying student in his/her tertiary education in 2007.
